Four Victoria Police officers were hurt in a violent arrest in tent city Thursday night.
Police are recommending multiple charges after the officers were injured while intervening in a domestic assault at tent city.
Around 7:20 p.m., two officers assigned to patrol the area heard what sounded like a domestic assault in one of the tents.
When the officers tried to intervene, a highly combative man began to assault them.
Other police officers arrived to help. Two assisting officers were also assaulted and a taser was then used on the man to subdue him.
He was arrested without any further incident.
All officers face non life threatening injuries.
Three of them were taken to hospital for treatment
Police are recommending four charges of assaulting a police officer, possession of a prohibited weapon, assault and resisting arrest in addition to other charges.
The man, who is known to police, is being held in police custody and is set to appear in court tomorrow.
