Saanich Police are warning people to be patient driving this long weekend after a two car crash late Friday afternoon.

Two cars going 50 km/hour crashed into each other at the intersection of McKenzie and Glandford Avenue.

It happened around 4:30 p.m during peak traffic, adding further delays to commuters.

Luckily no one was seriously injured, but traffic safety officers want to remind everyone to drive with care, especially on this long weekend.

“Be patient, be kind and be courteous,” said Saanich Police Traffic Safety Officer Sgt. John Price.

“Drive as if your life depended on it because it really, really does and drive as if people in other cars were family members or friends and it will all work,” he said.
