Two Vancouver Island men have been charged in connection with a high-profile case of bear feeding CHEK News reported on in May.
It happened along highway 4 near Kennedy Lake and became public when those shooting a video posted it to a wildlife Facebook page.
The video shows two or three people feeding rice cakes to a bear and getting extremely close to the wild animal, next to the highway.
The B.C.Conservation Service now said two men from Vancouver Island have been charged with “intentionally feeding dangerous wildlife” and fined $345 each.
Conservation officers said what helped solve his case was that these men were not the only ones recording video that day.
