Construction has started on a new affordable rental housing complex in Victoria.
Victoria Mayor Lisa Helps and representatives of the Catalyst Community Developments Society broke ground on the new Madrona complex in Vic West.
The two, three story buildings will contain affordable units from studios to four-bedroom family townhomes. The project is designed to provide options to help ease the capital region’s tight rental market.
The project is part of the Dockside Green development.
Construction should wrap up next year.
