In Victoria, seafood lovers got a chance to buy and taste fresh prawns at the Spot Prawn Festival at the Public Market.
Wild BC.. spot prawns are a delicacy around the world, especially in Asia.
They are called spot prawns because of two distinctive white spots on each side of the tail.
The festival gives locals a chance to sample them while they are in season.
The spot prawn festival originally started in Cowichan Bay and was so popular there, the Cowichan Bay Seasfood store owners brought the festival to Victoria.
